Kids Heart Challenge
Participate in Kids Heart Challenge
Kids Heart Challenge is coming soon! Colorado International Language Academy is joining forces with the American Heart Association by participating in KIDS HEART CHALLENGE (KHC). Students will be excited to “Slay the dragon of heart disease and stroke!” with our team of Heart Hero dragons and by participating in KHC they are Being the Torch, as they shine their light towards ways our community can be healthier. Also, your family will have the opportunity to learn hands-only CPR through Finn’s Mission!
Bonus Fun!
Our school’s goal is to have every family learn hands-only CPR and to raise $3,500 to help save lives! To help us reach our goal the whole school will get a color day when 25 students register online. When 50 students register online the whole school gets a heart day. When 75 students register online the whole school gets a Free dress day. When 100 students register online the whole school gets to wear PJs to school. When 125 students register online the whole school gets a dress like a hero day. Also – if you LOVE soccer, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks have a special opportunity for kids that raise $25 to come to a game! Students who raise $50 will get to go on the court at a Denver Nuggets Basketball game! Every student who raises $100 or more gets to SLIME Mrs. Black with DRAGON SNOT!

- Students who are registered and have received an online donation by our KHC kickoff on 1/30/2023, will receive a Torch wristband and the earned KHC Heart Heroes.

The next General PTO meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 8th at 5:30pm in the Student Center. A link to join virtually will be available closer to the day.
If you are interested in helping to plan the World’s Fair our first meeting is on Monday, January 30th at 2pm in the school library.
Please note that if you are volunteering at the school, in the classroom, and/or chaperoning a field trip a background check is required.

La próxima reunión general del PTO se llevará a cabo el miércoles 8 de febrero a las 5:30 p. m. en el Centro de Estudiantes. Un enlace para unirse virtualmente estará disponible más cerca del día.
Si está interesado en ayudar a planificar la Feria Mundial, nuestra primera reunión es el lunes 30 de enero a las 2 pm en la biblioteca de la escuela.
Tenga en cuenta que si es voluntario en la escuela, en el salón de clases y/o como acompañante en una excursión, se requiere una verificación de antecedentes.
