Dress Code

We have made a few slight changes too our uniform policy. They can be found here: https://cilaschool.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/CILA-Student-Parent-Handbook-2022-23_revised102022.pdf

Please review page 11, especially the sections on shoes and sweaters. Small logos on sweaters are allowable. We strongly encourage wearing tennis shoes at all times. However, boots, such as hiking boots or other sturdier shoes, are allowable as well. 

If girls are wearing leggings or tights, please make sure the leggings/tights are in uniform-compliant colors (navy, red, black or white solid only).

PTO
The next PTO General Meeting will be held on Monday, November 14th at 5:30pm. A virtual option will be available on the next newsletter. We hope to see you there!
 We are looking for 2 parent volunteers that would be available on Tuesday, November 15th for approximately 3-4 hours (during school hours) to help fill out a portion of the 2nd Grade test booklets. Potential volunteers for this cannot have a 2nd grader at CILA. Please contact us at pto-pres@cilaschool.org.
The PTO is looking for volunteers on an ongoing basis to assist with Lunchroom duties every Friday for the remainder of the school year. The time-frame would be from 10:30am to approximately noon. If you are interested in signing up for this volunteer opportunity please contact Sara Burns at pto-pres@cilaschool.org.

Picture Retake Day

Monday is Picture Retake Day. Students who missed picture day or need their picture retaken do not need to wear their uniform.

Hearing Screening continued 

Unfortunately, our volunteer was unable to screen all students for hearing last week. He will be back on November 15th to finish the hearing screening.

Revise la página 11, especialmente las secciones sobre zapatos y suéteres. Se permiten logotipos pequeños en los suéteres. Recomendamos encarecidamente el uso de tenis en todo momento. Sin embargo, también se permiten botas, como botas de montaña u otros zapatos más resistentes. 

Si las niñas usan mallas o mallas, asegúrese de que las mallas/medias estén en colores que cumplan con los uniformes (solo azul marino, rojo, negro o blanco sólido).

PTO

La próxima reunión general del PTO se llevará a cabo el lunes 14 de noviembre a las 5:30 p. m. Una opción virtual estará disponible en el próximo boletín. ¡Esperamos verte ahí!

 

 Estamos buscando 2 padres voluntarios que estarían disponibles el martes 15 de noviembre durante aproximadamente 3-4 horas (durante el horario escolar) para ayudar a completar una parte de los cuadernillos de prueba de 2.º grado. Los posibles voluntarios para esto no pueden tener un estudiante de segundo grado en CILA. Póngase en contacto con nosotros en pto-pres@cilaschool.org. 

 

El PTO está buscando voluntarios de forma continua para ayudar con las tareas del comedor todos los viernes durante el resto del año escolar. El horario sería de 10:30 a 12:00 aproximadamente. Si está interesado en inscribirse en esta oportunidad de voluntariado, comuníquese con Sara Burns en pto-pres@cilaschool.org.

Día de retomar la fotografía El

lunes es el día de retomar la fotografía. Los estudiantes que se perdieron el día de la fotografía o necesitan que se les vuelva a tomar la fotografía no necesitan usar su uniforme.

Evaluación auditiva continuación 

Desafortunadamente, nuestro voluntario no pudo evaluar la audición de todos los estudiantes la semana pasada. Regresará el 15 de noviembre para terminar el examen de audición.
