Health Awareness Week

This week will be dedicated to educating our staff and students about health and well-being. Our students will have a visit from the Pikes Peak Library District with stories about staying healthy in different languages. Thursday’s focus will be on oral health with a visit from Rodeo Dental. Students will receive free books, free toothbrushes, and free toothpaste! Our staff will have an opportunity to learn about mental health and self-care throughout the week.

Vision and Hearing Screening- Date change!

Our school nurse, Melissa Miller, will be conducting vision and hearing screenings for our students on November 1st. We are in need of volunteers to assist her. Four people are needed to escort classes from their rooms to the screening area. Volunteers need to be available from 7:45am to about 2pm. Semana de concientización sobre la salud

Esta semana estará dedicada a educar a nuestro personal y estudiantes sobre la salud y el bienestar. Nuestros estudiantes tendrán una visita del distrito de bibliotecas de Pikes Peak con historias sobre cómo mantenerse saludable en diferentes idiomas. El enfoque del jueves estará en la salud oral con una visita de Rodeo Dental. ¡Los estudiantes recibirán libros gratis, cepillos de dientes gratis y pasta de dientes gratis! Nuestro personal tendrá la oportunidad de aprender sobre salud mental y cuidado personal durante la semana.

Examen de la vista y la audición: ¡cambio de fecha!

Nuestra enfermera escolar, Melissa Miller, realizará exámenes de la vista y la audición para nuestros estudiantes el 1 de noviembre. Necesitamos voluntarios para ayudarla. Se necesitan cuatro personas para acompañar a las clases desde sus habitaciones hasta el área de proyección. Los voluntarios deben estar disponibles desde las 7:45 a. m. hasta las 2 p. m.
