CILA Website Accessibility Status

Colorado International Language Academy is committed to provided an equal opportunity experience at all levels, including our online presence.

As of Q4 2024, our progress towards complying with Colorado state-mandated accessibility guidelines stand as follows:

We are auditing our website specifically for conformance to the Website Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standard 2.1 Level A and AA
We have done an initial automated audit of our website utilizing accessibilitychecker.org and found that we are below an initial desired score of 95+
We are currently working on fixing accessibility issues with static content such as informational pages and menu links first
Descriptive text is being added to all links in such static content
The back end code generating certain static markup, such as the user-scalable value being set to “yes” for the “viewport” meta tag, will be edited for conformance with accessibility standards
Once these issues are resolved, and all automated audits are passed, we expect to research & contract with a 3rd party accessibility analysis firm to review our site further
This contract & review utilizing a 3rd party firm is expected to start at the end of Q1 2025
All work to conform with accessibility standards on the website is expected to be completed by May of 2025
