President

Autumn Orser

Autumn Orser is a board-certified pediatrician who has been serving the children and youth of Colorado Springs for over a decade. She’s an innovative physician executive with extensive experience in value-based care, data-informed quality improvement, integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health, and team-based care. She’s hard-working, enthusiastic, and constantly seeking to improve. Autumn and her husband have two children, and in their free time, they enjoy scuba diving, hobby farming, and traveling.

Beth Desloges

Beth brings to the board over 12 years of non-profit management experience, with an emphasis
on board development, strategic planning and program development. One of her key strengths
is leading organizations through transition and growth. She earned her MBA in Public
Administration from South University and her undergraduate degree from the University of New
Hampshire. In her professional career, Beth has served as Executive Director to several local
and national non-profits, including Susan G. Komen, the Cape Fear Regional Theatre in
Fayetteville, NC, and Operation Homefront. She is the spouse of a 26-year army veteran and
the mother of two boys – one of whom attends CILA. Beth has been an actively engaged parent
since her son began attending in 2020, and has previously served as the Co-Chair of the School
Accountability Committee.

Brings 15 years of experience from government, non-profit healthcare and corporate sectors. Coalition builder known for performing with poise under pressure and thinking outside the box to accomplish goals.

Treasurer

Tom Strand

Tom Strand, a retired military officer, has been a leader for more than 30 years. In the U.S. Air Force, he was the senior lawyer and commandant of the Judge Advocate General (JAG) School in Montgomery, Ala. After retiring from JAG, he returned to Colorado Springs in 2005 and served his community by participating on numerous committees, councils and commissions, including the District 11 Citizen’s Bond Review Committee. He also served as vice president and president of the District 11 Board of Education. Currently, Tom is serving as treasurer on the Colorado International Language Academy Board, a K-8th grade language immersion school, volunteers as a business mentor with the Colorado Springs Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) and as a facilitator for the Food 4 Thought organization. He has also served as treasurer for the Trails and Open Space Coalition (TOSC), and as chairman of the Colorado Springs Human Relations Commission and as a board member of the Pikes Peak Restorative Justice Council.Tom and his wife Shannon have two daughters and a son, and five grandchildren. When not working for the City or volunteering, you’ll find Tom and Shannon enjoying our beautiful outdoors—hiking, biking, fishing and playing golf.

Lorretta Grimaldo

Lorretta Grimaldo is a Colorado native with more than 30 years of experience in public education. She has dedicated 16 years of service to School District 11, 13 years to School District 49, and currently serves as a Grants Account and Budget Analyst for School District 20. Lorretta holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Western Governors University and brings a deep understanding of educational systems, finance, and organizational operations to her work.

In addition to her professional career, Lorretta is the founder and director of the Johnny Grimaldo Memorial Scholarship Fund, a nonprofit established in her late husband’s honor to support students in pursuing their athletic goals.

Lorretta is a proud mother of four adult children and grandmother to eight grandchildren. She enjoys spending her free time supporting her grandchildren’s activities, including dance, wrestling, basketball, and cheerleading.
