Bus Fees
CILA proudly offers a bus system, with 3 different routes serving the Colorado Springs area!
There is a fee for using this service, to offset our gas & vehicle maintenance costs. Siblings of existing current students are charged a reduced rate, and families that qualify for FRL (Free & Reduced Lunch – apply here) have this fee waived.

Field trip fees
When your student goes on a field trip, or participates in our 5th grade yearly Golden Bell excursion, there may often be a small fee to offset food, transportation, and location fees.
Club Shirts & Spirit Wear
If your student participates in a club (such as Sing Club, Cheer, etc.) and wants to buy the club shirt, or wants a piece of spirit wear, there is usually a small cost associated to purchase the clothing item.
Materials Fee
Although there is a school supplies list for students in the full-time program, this doesn’t account for the many other supplies that your student regularly uses in day-to-day classroom activities. Some examples are:
- Workbooks (usually $15+ apiece, several used and purchased annually for each full-time student)
- Additional copy paper (we usually run out of the paper supplied by parents at the start of the year around December)
- Additional art supplies
- Additional day-to-day classroom cleaning supplies
- Bandaids
- High-capacity toner for copiers (99% of all output is used for daily worksheets for students)
- etc. – the list goes on
Many of these supplies would be prohibitive to be purchased by individual families in the bulk quantities or units required by the school. So, like most other schools in the Colorado Springs area, we have a small materials fee assessed per student at the start of every year.
2024-2025 Materials Fee:
- $40 for the 1st student
- $20 per additional sibling
