Parent-Teacher Conferences

October 16th (4pm – 8pm) and 17th (8am – 4pm) will be the first round of parent-teacher conferences. You will receive a sign-up link from your student’s teacher. Please sign up for a time slot. Remember that you must have a reserved time slot to have a PT conference. These are not walk-ins. 

Students are highly encouraged to attend their conferences as well.

School Pass – Please use it
Instead of calling the school, we kindly ask that you start using the app immediately as your first stop for all absences, tardies, and dismissal changes. This will help alleviate any miscommunication and ensure your child’s dismissal preferences are clearly communicated. A few weeks ago, School Pass sent out welcome emails, and we also shared training videos to guide you through the app’s features. If you did not receive the welcome email or need it re-sent, please reach out to Mrs. Runnells at mrunnells@cilaschool.org

News from the PTO

Fun Run Update – A huge thank you to everyone who made this fun run the best one yet! We raised almost $8000!!!

Say Boo to a friend with a Boo Gram! – PTO will be selling on Wednesday during conferences for $1.

Trunk or Treat! – Oct 25 from 5-7 in the west parking lot CILA PTO will host a trunk or treat for families and friends.  There will be games, food trucks, and trunks galore to enjoy. If you would like to support this event by decorating a trunk or donating, click on this link

Morning Arrival – Safety first

• We are asking all parents to please slow down while in our parking lot, we notice dangerous speeds mostly in the morning drop off if parents or students are running late.  Our parking lot is 10mph the ENTIRE way.
• Only drop off students at the field where a staff member can greet them, and they are safe on the sidewalk.
• If you are parking and walking your student into the student center, please walk along the cones if possible and do not walk behind buses.  Never drive through the bus parking or coned-off areas.  Always be extra cautious coming/going from the parking lot.

Dismissal – Traffic flow

We know traffic is problematic during dismissal.  Once you get through the student center and the bottom lot, there are 2 lanes.  The left lane is for exiting campus, the right lane is for carline pick on the field.  Carline drivers, please do not block any exits for the parking lot.  Please also follow the directions from CILA staff when pulling up to the field for Carline.   **Have patience and be kind.

Conferencias de padres y maestros

El 16 de octubre (de 4:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m.) y el 17 (de 8:00 a. m. a 4:00 p. m.) será la primera ronda de conferencias de padres y maestros. Recibirá un enlace de registro del maestro de su estudiante. Por favor regístrese para un horario. Recuerde que debe tener un horario reservado para tener una conferencia PT. Estos no son visitas sin cita previa. 

Se recomienda encarecidamente a los estudiantes que también asistan a sus conferencias. 

Pase escolar: úselo
En lugar de llamar a la escuela, le rogamos que empiece a utilizar la aplicación. inmediatamente como su primera parada para todas las ausencias, llegadas tarde y cambios de salida. Esto ayudará a aliviar cualquier falta de comunicación y garantizará que las preferencias de despido de su hijo se comuniquen claramente. Hace unas semanas, School Pass envió correos electrónicos de bienvenida y también compartimos videos de capacitación para guiarlo a través de las funciones de la aplicación. Si no recibió el correo electrónico de bienvenida o necesita que se le vuelva a enviar, comuníquese con la Sra. Runnells al mrunnells@cilaschool.org

Actualización de carrera divertida – ¡Muchísimas gracias a todos los que hicieron que esta carrera divertida fuera la mejor hasta ahora! ¡¡¡Recaudamos casi $8000!!!

¡Dile Boo a un amigo con un Boo Gram! – toma de fuerza se venderá el miércoles durante las conferencias por 1 dólar.

¡Baúl o golosina! – El 25 de octubre, de 5 a 7, en el estacionamiento oeste, CILA PTO organizará un baúl o un obsequio para familias y amigos.  Habrá juegos, camiones de comida y baúles en abundancia para disfrutar. Si desea apoyar este evento decorando un baúl o donando, haga clic en este enlace

Llegada por la mañana: la seguridad es lo primero

• Estamos pidiendo a todos los padres que por favor desacelerar Mientras estamos en nuestro estacionamiento, notamos velocidades peligrosas principalmente en la mañana cuando los padres o estudiantes llegan tarde.  Nuestro estacionamiento está a 10 mph en TODO el recorrido.
• Deje a los estudiantes únicamente en el campo donde un miembro del personal pueda recibirlos y estén seguros en la acera.
• Si está estacionando y acompañando a su estudiante al centro de estudiantes, camine a lo largo de los conos si es posible y no camine detrás de los autobuses.  Nunca conduzca por el estacionamiento de autobuses o áreas delimitadas.  Tenga siempre mucho cuidado al entrar y salir del estacionamiento.

Despido – Flujo de tráfico

Sabemos que el tráfico es problemático durante la salida.  Una vez que pasa por el centro de estudiantes y el lote inferior, hay 2 carriles.  El carril izquierdo es para salir del campus, el carril derecho es para recoger automóviles en el campo.  Conductores de Carline, no bloqueen ninguna salida del estacionamiento.  Siga también las instrucciones del personal de CILA cuando llegue al campo para Carline.   **Ten paciencia y sé amable.
