Dear Parents and Guardians,

The holidays are coming up fast and we know the weeks in between can become very busy for all of us. Let’s keep the learning going and make sure your students attend school, unless they are sick, and arrive on time!

Holiday Spirit Days

On Thursday, Dec 15th, students can wear winter/holiday pajamas. Friday, December 16th, is an early release day and International Day. Students can dress in Holiday/ Holiday-themed outfits that day.

The contributions go directly to the PTO and are used to help us put on the amazing events annually!

The PTO will be hosting a Holiday Gift Shop from December 12th through the 16th! A letter was sent home with each child last week with an envelope attached.  The students will each have the opportunity to come to the shop twice between Monday, December 12th and Thursday, December 15th.  On the 16th the shop will be open from 12pm (noon) to 1pm.  The envelope that was sent home will be used that week.  There is no need to send in the envelope prior.  For those that already have, the PTO will hold onto it for your child till the week-of.

Additionally that week of December we will be hosting a Bake Sale. We are revamping how these will be done. CILA families are able to sign up to bake items.  This is a great opportunity to get home-based volunteer hours! 

December 16th is the second International Day focusing on Qatar. If you or anyone you know is personally connected to this country, please reach out to us at pto@cilaschool.org!

There are two upcoming committees that are being put together. One is focused on planning the World’s Fair at the end of the school year. The other is for the February Family Dance. If you would like to participate in the planning of either of these events, please contact Sara Burns at pto-pres@cilaschool.org.

Las vacaciones se acercan rápidamente y sabemos que las semanas intermedias pueden ser muy ocupadas para todos nosotros. ¡Sigamos con el aprendizaje y asegurémonos de que sus estudiantes asistan a la escuela, a menos que estén enfermos, y lleguen a tiempo!

Días de espíritu festivo

El jueves 15 de diciembre, los estudiantes pueden usar pijamas de invierno/días festivos. El viernes 16 de diciembre es un día de salida temprana y el Día Internacional. Los estudiantes pueden vestirse con atuendos festivos/temáticos festivos ese día.

¡El PTO organizará una tienda de regalos navideños del 12 al 16 de diciembre! Se envió una carta a casa con cada niño la semana pasada con un sobre adjunto. Cada estudiante tendrá la oportunidad de venir a la tienda dos veces entre el lunes 12 de diciembreyel jueves 15de. Eldíala tienda estará abierta de 12h a 13h. El sobre que se envió a casa se utilizará esa semana. No es necesario enviar el sobre antes. Para aquellos que ya lo han hecho, el PTO lo guardará para su hijo hasta la semana de.

Además, esa semana de diciembre tendremos una venta de pasteles. Estamos renovando cómo se harán. Las familias de CILA pueden inscribirse para hornear artículos. ¡Esta es una gran oportunidad para obtener horas de voluntariado en el hogar!

El 16 de diciembre es el segundo Día Internacional centrado en Qatar. Si usted o alguien que conoce está conectado personalmente con este país, ¡comuníquese con nosotros enpto@cilaschool.org!

Hay dos comités próximos que se están formando. Uno se centra en la planificación de la Feria Mundial al final del año escolar. El otro es para el baile familiar de febrero.
